I went opening night for Magic Mountain’s opening night of Holiday in the Park!
As soon as you walked by the fountain, you could see these fire pits which are new this year! They have barricades around them when I first got in as they were still setting things up for opening. You can buy marshmallows to make smores with.
Once 5:00 hit, the lights turned on and the festivities started!
The main gate was so beautiful! Along with the light, it “snows” every 20 mins!
After viewing the lights at the main gate, I went over to ride Full Throttle!
It was about a 45 minute wait because of it running one train, but honestly, that’s really not too bad. Of course they assigned me to the front row and it was probably 40 degrees at that time…Yeah, it was freezing cold being in the front!
After a bone chilling ride on Throttle, I headed to Rockin’ Universe which was the highlight of last year!
The light show was pretty much the same, but still amazing!
Then I went to the last decorated area of the park…Winter Wonderland which is located under Revolution.
This area is really amazing and looks like there is real snow.
The area directly under Revolution is filled with beautiful sculptures.
The restaurant next to Tatsu was filled with crazy good decorations!
In the huge seating area for Katy’s Kettle, they have arts and crafts and a photo op with santa all for the little ones!
You have to eat here during Holiday in the Park! You sit directly under and adjacent from the lights!
That concludes this trip report! I will have more Holiday in the Park reports coming soon! Hope you enjoyed and I highly recommend going to Magic Mountain during Holiday in the Park! It was fantastic!
